as far as i know they were just frames. frames were probably available through Schmitty's but i dont think he had a storefront, just a garage, like Nick

Tracy was the one to show up with the crazy built motors and working with Schmitty's they were able to come up with some really wild experimental machines back in the H street days. frames were probably available through Schmitty's but i dont think he had a storefront, just a garage, like Nick

Most aftermarket frames are +2" or +3" longer and have different geometry over stock for better handling . Stock frame when road hard will break right at the gas tank eventually . Hope that answers your question ?

How rare are aftermarket 125m frames? I was in the middle of freshening mine up and the frame split at the seat release. Wife gave up her matching machine so I could have a rider. I can see this one splitting too.

As far as I know the aftermarket craze was over by the time the 125's came out. This is the only one I've ever seen or heard of. The only way we know it is a 125 frame is from the battery mount.

That one is the same as the two in my earlier post. It is a SPRINT. Both made by DICKSON DESIGN AND DEVELOPEMENT.
The one in this picture is a JOKER. The difference is the gusseting at the front motor mount and at the rear bearing carrier.

stock frames flex and cracks develope around the upper rear motor mount too.....add rear axle extensions and you'll have cracks in a stock frame after one day of hard riding

bet no one knows why the stretched the frames, aftermarket hardtail and suspension, to the front instead of the rear.....

if someone was to reproduce or offer a new aftermarket frame today, do you think they'd stretch it to the front or rear?
