I picked up an original exhaust/muffler for my 1983 ytm200k and I'd like to paint it black.
Can anyone recommend some good paint that can withstand the heat?

the rustolem bbq grill paint is pretty good, it lasted about a year on my atv header pipe with alot of use before it started to flake in some areas

Anyone ever try this stuff: http://www.kbs-coatings.com/Xtreme-T...e-Coating.html
Seems $$ and might be overkill for my use.
I will only paint my exhaust with these products http://www.vhtpaint.com/products/flameproof/ The local napa store sells it. Never had a problem with this like I have with the bbq grill paint.
I use the Killz BBQ paint. It is a lot darker black than rustoleum bbq, which looks like flat black. The Killz holds up a lot better and lasts a lot longer than all the others cans I have tried.

I also used the VHT exhaust paint. I had my pipe sand blasted and it is holding up very well. Been on their all summer and 30+ hours on it.
I use POR-15 black velvet header paint... Expensive, but good...
No trikes. Too old, too crippled. Unless I find one I can't live without!

Still on the hunt for a 1986 350x and 250r.
I have used rustoluem bbq on a few pipes. Looked great but the first time it comes in contact with mud and bakes on it looks like crap again. Thing about it is its cheap and easy to repaint so If it last a few months I guess it was worth it.

Hi guys. I'm blasting the muffler and header for a 350x, tonight. Was going to try the vht ceramic. What is the best way to prep it? Any recommendations would be great. Thank you
