wow sorry to hear. Get well soon Mike

Every year around this time I get nervous because I get on the roof to hang Christmas lights. I do it for my kids to see but sometimes I feel it's not worth risking my neck

He is getting better, slowly. Not 100%, but luckily no long term issues, aside from what he has has always had (thats a joke). He is getting better, just slowly. Maybe he will post on here and give us an update.

    Hey Guys,
thought i would post up an update. I am doing very well in fact alot better than they had told me . I still have very little hearing out of my right ear but in time that will get better. my broken ribs are healing up I dont feel the pain as much in my back, I am in physical theropy for my wrists and they are doing real good as well as my shoulder. been slowly poking around at the shop and getting back into the swing of things , I do get massive headaches here and there and I get real tired mid day but they said because of the brain injury this will happen for a while but get better over time . I am off limits with anything fun for a while riding, sking etc I cant take any chances of wacking my head again till all the fractures heal up real good but besides that I think i will be good . Thanks again for all the support and emails . I will be back at the shop next week and start turning out some more restorations. below is a picture my sister took 3 days after the accident when they were discharging me out of the ICU to a regular room , I never saw this till the other day I am still bleeding out of my ears and still lights out I dont remember anything 2 weeks after the accident, makes me realize just how lucky I was . It just wasnt my time thanks guys and im back at it

So glad to hear about your progress. I had a similar fall, broke my arm, elbow and shoulder. 6 surgeries and 4 years to get healed up, but had I turned 90 degrees in the air, I would have landed on my head. I have no right elbow, weakness, and pain, but an accident like this really makes you appreciate all that you have and how lucky you were it wasn't worse. Hope you heal up good as new to turn out more of the fine work you do!

Its amazing how strong and fragile the human body is at the same time. Best wishes in your recovery and we all look forward to some more restorations.
