    Traction with out studs!

    Hey guys I know quite a few of you icefish with your trikes so heres a new product (Currently in development) by a guy here in my town. The product is mainly used for ice racing cars, but he gave my friend some to try out on the trikes and here is what we found

    We used my 83 185s with a newer set of tires

    As you can see you simply apply the "glue" to the tires. I found this really helped on ice, I plan on doing somemore tests soon and Ill keep you guys updated!

    So you're useing glue for grip or are you glueing the studs in?

    Its a glue type paste that is applied to the tire with no studs

    So, this glue, you can eat it, right? Cause if not, and you are using it on the lakes and ponds and such, it could get in the water supply and effect the wildllife and the fish you eat as well as possibly affect the water table and the water you drink.

    VEAL, I'm guessing he has to wait for the glue to dry and it probably provides some sort of more grippy-like texture than just a smooth worn rubber on the treds.

    Aw Man! Now I feel bad for not driving to shore to make pee pee. Seriously though, just imagine what gets into the lakes from dripping gearboxes and chain lube. Like a guy once told me "Never drink water from the lake! The fish screw in it!"

    Yeah, I'd be more worried about leaking fluids from a 30 year old machine before I would worry about a semi-solid substance that will be so minimal by the time lakes thaw.

    glue won't hold on the spinning tires of 40hp+ 2 strokes. May work for the ice fishers though??? Interesting??? Keep us posted....
