Not an 86 motor, unless it's been painted. "Never been started"? But there is obvious wear on the brake rotor. after market axle nut. If the motor in fact hasn't been started, it must be a ban take off motor. Nice bike but he's definitely out to make a buck.

So I emailed the seller, heres what he had to say about the rotor and rear lock nut:

" Its never been started. I bought the rotor and installed it. It has never been used also. Trike was restored from the ground up, powdercoated frame and swingarm. Everything is new, bearings etc..

Oh so its not even original, I can see someone paying 7500 for a all original mint never started, but since its been restored that does take the value down

she definitely sexy... but being that its just restored OEM... 3-4000 tops... nothing too special about this other than the "to die for" oem plastics... I'd love to buy her... sell the plastics... make most of my money back & ride her with Maiers!!!

That's a nice idea, but I think the plastics would have to be new in bag & never been mounted to bring the CRAZY high dollars on eBay.

$7K for an incorrect resto job (steel brake lines, axle nut, etc) and mismatched engine?? This guy doesn't live too far away -- too bad he's asking more than twice what it's worth. Gonna just try to forget I ever saw this ad and pretend it doesn't exist.

Looks like he beat you to it. The fenders are maiers. Look at the tell tailed Maier warning sticker on the right rear fender.

Hopefully someone loosens that chain before they decide to ride it.
