    Ebay Maier Shrouds "Fighting Red" ???

    Anybody bought these or other "fighting red" plastics from these guys? Are they really true to the oem color?

    Im actually interested in other fenders he offers, just happened to be on the shrouds page when i made the link. i want oem but i know i cant afford em for the crazy prices they go for. These seem like the next best thing if the color is true. Or if anybody knows of another option let me know. I know about those nice front R fenders a member makes out of F.glass but i need rears! Anybody got a nice oem set for cheap

    I've bought several sets of plastic from the seller listed with no problems. The fighting red color has a little more orange tint than the current red color on the OEM shrouds.

    "currant red color on the oem shrouds" ???

    Does this mean they have changed the tint over time on the oem stuff or did you mean to say more orange than the regular maier shrouds...everything i have ever seen from maier in person never looks anything like the oem stuff...color or shape/quality

    Other than OEM there is no other choice if you want close to OEM color. I bought a set of Maier right before these Fighting Red Color came out and they were a lot darker than the NOS set I have. I bought a set of the Fighting Red rears back on the 6th and haven't gotten them yet. It appears my package that was to be delivered on the 14th is now stuck in Effin USPS limbo. They were in Kansas City on the 13th and now in Des Moines on the 18th.

    I think the current OEM are slight bit different than they use to be. And the fighting red maier are definitely have more orange tint than the normal red used on the maier fenders. But like BKM said they are as close to OEM as you can get.

    They came in last week, but I've been super busy. I took them out of the box and right back in they went and down into the basement. I'll try and get some comparison pics in the next day or so.
