    new member, new project.

I thought I would stop in and introduce myself. I was refered here from a member of everything2stroke.com. My name is Jason I live in southern michigan. I have been looking for a liquid cooled atc250 for quite a while, finally found one last week. It is totally beat (but not bent) and in peices, almost everything is there. The cylinder is nice and the cases still have the case saver nubs. I plan on doing a full resto mod....... I told myself I wouldn't do this until I have some pics, so pics to come. I have many fun things in store, 10in front wheel, polished forks, triples, rear shock cases and other parts. I look forward to learning and reading more about my little stinker. later

Looks like an 86 swinger to me as it has the brake stay pin welded to the swinger itself. Welcome to the forum. GREAT place ! ! !

Nice start to a project man. Like a couple other guys said, start with a good cleaning of EVERYTHING, but I think you got a good start to an R there.

WELCOME to the boards. I see almost a complete bike in what looks to be good condition. When people say the guys here are great, trust me, they are. If you need R parts, let us know, there are plenty, unlike TECATE parts. There are many projects running here, get familiar with the search function, there's tons of info on just about everything.
Looking forward to seeing the progress of this bike. Enjoy your stay.

I got to work on the wheeler today, winter is loosening its grip.. I am getting everything striped and ready for polish. I will soon be making a weld pile, then to powdercoat. I knocked the bearing carrier out and to my suprise its a baldwin unit, the chain was thrown on the carrier so it needs some filing and such, then polished. The bumper on the shock is completely gone, I desided to rebuild it, polish the body and powdercoat the spring blue. I wanted to post some pictures before it rebuild them, I included the rear master too, it will be restored better than ever. I received some parts and a honda manual in the mail, I know I could of printed it for free but I like to have a original copy.

the clutch cover needs some attention it needs a new pump, welded in a few spots and some clown got a little wild with his 90 grinder on the gasket surface.
