Okay so i been doing this restore on 84 200x for a while now. Almost done. Finishing up the rear and am left over with this part. It's not in my haines manual n i havent been able to see it on pics of 200x's online. I'm really thinking it's something a previous owner added. It appears to goo from the top swingarm/shock mount down thru the rear of the swingarm and out the back. The tail end of it was fastened to the axle end of the swingarm with a big "U" bolt going thru it. Only thing i can think is someone was either using it to hook a chain to or was trying to use it to reinforce the swingarm like a leafspring? Anyone familiar with this or have any idea?
