Busy weekend x2

Well, this winter I started with popping rocks by hand out of the trails and hauling them. The trails / loads could be done wit the big red but I didn't see any point in flogging my machine, use one that is not expected to last 30 years. A arctic cat 425. I did this for maybe 50 trips



I then had a fence installed, no time to do it. I chose to put it in level and use the rocks to level with a stone wall, we have a lot on the property so I thought it would look good
Here is the wall installed. Walls are 32' long and tapered to flat near the rear but come up to about 30" at highest and are 20" wide=a lot of rock



Now digging to fill it, 150 trips with the front loader



Also started on the deck off the rifle range instead of shooting indoors, I am installing a deck off the rifle shed



Finally, a new cutter for the fields. I went this route instead of a Brushhog. A bit oversized for my tractor but the fields are not too long, I will just have to stay on top of it. The rear roller should leave nice stripes, I also got the hydraulic shift kit for the rear, the flail is offset and I can now shift it back and forth as needed

I've got nothing to add other than the Ford is just plain bad as$. 78 or 79 and please tell me it has a Big Block?

6 foot flail. It it were a hog, would most likely have to be a 5 footer. These (from some reading) dont suck up quite as much hp as a brushhog. I am right on the edge I think. I will keep it down and do it when it is dry. If too much of an issue will just shift it over and take a 5ft swath. The ford is a 79 with a 557ci (460 bored .080 over and stroked)

Thx, wife hates it. We were at home depot Gettin the wood and this girl and guy came out of store, she summer clothes and all tattooed and says 'nice truck!'. My wife, as conservative as they come started grumbling and muttering about a 'chick magnet.' it was so worth it

Blast some old tunes on the stereo and rock it old skool, lol. Wives will never understand. Very nice work! Must be getting a little thin on the bottom of your sled.

you guessed it, i did secure some steel straps under the sled, those lasted about 1/2 a trip. I ripped them off and just put in a bunch of rivets. That helped for a while but the sled is now garbage. I will have to get another next winter when the ice fishing stuff comes back out on sale

That flail should take less hp and shear pins than a hog.

This weekend was the shooting range deck. Uprights (6x6x12) x6 and frame/ deck joists done. Should have deck in next week, roof will be tough alone tho
