EBay or craigslist for the parts. Good luck. Hard to come by good plastics

Remove carb and gas tank. Rinse tank with gas and ensure a good flow of gas through the fuel line after. Take carb apart and clean every little nook, cranny, hole, etc. DO NOT use metal objects to clean out holes - just use carb cleaner (B12 Chemtool fuel additive works great) and maybe a toothpick and non-wire brushes.

Welcome to the site! I have two of the exact same rig you do. They're fun!
What's the history on the machine? did it sit for awhile, was it running and this just happened or what?

Any 4 wire ignition stitch will work. These for a 85 will work fine but you'll need to change the connector or just wire it up.

These are cheaper than the above link and will work fine too.

Fenders are not reproduced and are pricey on ebay but are out there!

it might almost be cheaper for you to buy a parts bike

This video should be a little help. its a really good carb cleaning video for almost the exact same carburetor (watch his other videos on checking valve clearance and other stuff for an ATC.

+1 on D-Ray's Youtube videos. He's a really bright guy, very thorough and makes great how-to vids.

Especially check out his vid on timing chain tension adjustment. He has a recommendation to use a tiny bolt to ensure you always get it just right.

Thank you all for your help. got it running the other day. runs great. cleaned out tank and carb and out a new plug in. now need to find front forks they are bent. but hey little stuff right. at least it still runs. have no idea of history. just got it last week for 110.00. the motor looks great never been apart and don't leak. but can anyone tell me if it needs back pressure? make my own exhaust. straight piped. don't want to fry the motor so I don't run it long. thanks for the help.

Not sure if you need nice fenders, or just fenders to be a rider, but I have this one listed for sale. I'm prety sure I have the other side, but it is a bit worse shape.

For the key ignition, this is a great cheap option if you don't mind the wire hacking. I'm planning to make a plug and play version off the same key switch.

yes you need back pressure, smaller motors especially. the small restriction creates pulses in the exhaust which scavenge the cylinder, which makes for better power, also it will make it run a bit lean...
