    *** Another newbie question regarding '84 200es ***

    Hello again - was just looking at my new to me '84 200es engine. On the right side, top of the cylinder head there is a lever (moves up and down). Can anyone tell me what this lever is and its purpose. Again, no owner's manual for reference. Thanks, BK3

    Its the decompressiuon lever for easy starting. flip it up and it pulls over easier and is easier on the starter
