I agree.I can honestly only think of one situation that this would be even remotely acceptable and that includes being stranded in the middle of nowhere with only a tube a JB weld to fix a problem.
I was in the middle of Little Sahara, OK. I had the JB weld, a 10mm wrench, and a screw driver. The boot itself was in poor condition and already been 'repaired.' I'll be the first to admit it was a pretty shameful cob job.
