    200x questions...

So I was given a 86 200x frame.... I have a spare 86 200x motor but no mounts, intake, carb, kicker, shifter, cdi, coil,,,, nothing.... I have lots of left over 1st gen 200x parts, from the junkyard save/build me and my buddy did.... Will any of the 1st gen 200x parts fit the 2nd gen X frame and motor or will the 2nd gen motor fit in a 1st gen frame

1st and 2nd gen are completely different. I think theres like 1 or 2 parts that actually switch over.. like maybe the front hub?

Just so you know theres probably a 100 of these threads.. try using the search button as i'm sure someone lists everything that can/cant be used.

As said nothing changes over. The '86-'87s are awesome and I want one pretty bad but parts are a bit harder to find and more expensive than the first gens.

Not true. My bike is living proof. The 86-87 front hub does change over if you use the first gen spacers, and axle. Look at my bike, that is a 86-87 200x hub...why did I use it? Because I can now use Xowner's 10 inch wheel. Like Cody Rosa said, do a search, you will find countless threads on this subject.

    2nd generation better?
no way ive owned both and yes the 2nd gen performs better all around and looks awesome but it flat out did not hold up as good as the first gen x did, waaay more motor problems and frame problems
    i kept the first gen
