Question For the TECATE guys.
Has anybody put a 1 1/8 handlebar (like pro-tapers) on an 86-87
TECATE? Instead of the 7/8 bars.
If so, what mounts did you use or which ones will fit?

I haven't actually done it yet but I'm going to. I ordered a set of risers of ebay just waiting on them to get here. I will have to drill the holes out to fit the bigger 12mm mounting bolts, not sure yet about anything else.

I have, details are in my build thread I believe. I had to drill out the factory inserts in the rubber just slightly to accomodate the bolts. I believe they are Applied Racing and I bought some longer bolts at Fastenal to keep the factory rubber inserts in the triples as well as putting the modified Applied rubber dampers in place as well.
