White fender set 1st gen 250R group buy anyone? Details inside if interested!

Sooo, Anyone interested in a 1st gen 250R white fender set? After inquiring about any being out there and getting nowhere I posted if there were anybody who mounted any other yr/style fenders onto the 1st gen. Again, no viable solutions brought forth. Then BKM suggested if I ever considered a group buy? Well that brings us to this thread. Called Maier and as suggested they are willing to make a run as long as we get 5 of each. Since I'm not a "supplier" it would need to be list price to a tune of $296 per set plus Approx $100 shipping for all to my house. Average cost to ship back out to members (per Mickey's thread for fiberglass 200x rears) approx another $85 per set. Almost $400 per person. So I called back to see if we by chance could get more than 5 could I get volume discount. I was told I would need a $5000 order to start seeing any breaks. Said he would not start undercutting his normal distributors. Fair enough, good business sense. I will say this was all conveyed to me very professionally so don't take it wrong. He then suggested I contact one of their distributors as they may be willing to pass on some of their discounts. That brought me to ZMPerformance. Remember reading a few members bought from them on eBay or direct I don't recall. So next call went to them. After discussing what I was looking to do I came out with a better deal than I expected. In order to avoid extra shipping cost they are willing to ship to each individual as opposed to shipping to just me and me reshipping them raising the cost! Price? $250 shipped for a set to the lower 48! Said he's willing to ship worldwide but shipping will be higher for those destinations.1 rear fender https://www.maier-mfg.com/catalog/atc250r-rear-fender-1 & 1 Front louvered fender https://www.maier-mfg.com/catalog/ho...d-front-fender WHITE. The only thing he said he would not commit to is timing as he would be at the mercy of Maier for production after order was placed. Need 5 to commit/prepay. Payment has to go through 1 invoice so I will collect & take care of the paper trail. I figure I'd give it to at least mid January to give folks time to get in on it even if there is 5 before then (I HOPE!). So after reading my book.....Who wants in?!!

get with the MOSH's! When I had the idea of the Carbon Fiber Maier plastics for the 3rd gen R they were able to get the ball rolling and they are a dealer as well so they get special pricing!

I know it's a bad time of the year. It's a stretch for me too, but I've been lucky enough to unload some stuff on ebay. That's why I wanted to give it some time. May have to wait until even later if we can't get enough interest in the short term.

I would be more than happy to support the Moshs if they wanted to run with it. I don't know if they can get the same pricing as the bigger distributors due to volume or not. I would be much happier supporting one of our own if it was possible.

I'd like to wait till we get the minimum to commit. No sense sending money back and forth and giving PayPal extra commissions if we can't get enough buyers.

So after a week there is still only me. Should I assume there is no interest or is it just bad timing due to the holidays? Is there is any interest for a later buy as in early spring after taxes are done? I can hold off (not like I have any choice at this point lol) Speak up, if not I suppose I'll just suck it up and get red like everyone else.

Seems to be common right now. I wasn't thinking when I started this right before Christmas. Bad timing. So like I said maybe if enough show interest I can try again in say maybe Feb or March after tax returns are filed. Oh yea and price quoted to me was $250 shipped from ZMPerformance. Hopefully they can hold that price a little longer. The 400 was if I tried to go directly through Maier since I'm not a distributor. And by the way, Congratulations on the home purchase!
