    one doesnt just restock these, from what i understand they havnt been made for a LONG time.....

    If you look at bid history, it appears as though there were three people who really wanted it. Does seem a little odd though.

    kontiki is a legit spot. theyre a cycle salvage operation in Pacific Beach, Ca. i doubt they'd get into shill bidding. they sell lots of NOS from local shops theyve bought out over the years. they have really trick NOS atc stuff from time to time. nice guys.

    also, their fee to list that item is $.20. i doubt they jacked the price that high just to save $.20

    Can someone here explain why a facemask would sell for $2000? I could never imagine paying that much.

    Must have been a HARD CORE collector who bought it for a museum piece and not to mention the other bidders. Must have been a rare piece.
