I bought my fenders through ZMPerformance and have zero complaints! I called them up and there customer service is top notch and they gave me a nice discount. I went with white on my 250r though.

Aren't the aftermarket options something like Maier and Maier?

Yeah, but if you didn't feel like going with a Maier fender, there are always Maier fenders. But personally if I was to choose an aftermarket fender it would be Maier.

I just ran a group buy through ZMP for white 1st gen fender sets. Everything went smooth and no complaints here either. If you decide to go with them jump on their website as opposed to going through ebay. Price is a couple of bucks cheaper and shipping is free on items over $99. You'll save around $24.

ZM is a distributor, not a manufacturer.

Isn't it possible to do group buys directly from Maier?

You can do the group buys through Maier but there is no price break from their site prices. Believe me I tried, The Maier rep was the one who suggested I go through one of their distributors as they could pass a discount along if they so desired. Said they would not undercut their distributors. Maier price for 85-86 rear $250 + shipping.....ZMP $208 no shipping cost

Moshes are also a distributor may want to check with them as well

I think our only options are Maier, they are not bad but it is a shame Maier can't and will not make the provisions to maintain the fender brace that runs under fender!!!
But they don't look to bad but I got used to them, Mike.

I bought an 86 250R a few years ago which had an aftermarket front fender on it. It was an exact copy of OEM except underneath it had a crown symbol embossed in the plastic. No other identifying marks or brand name. I did a search back then but had no luck. This thing was absolutely identical to the real thing in every way. I always wondered if this company made rears as well.
