    84 Tecate or 84 250r?

I have a 1984 kxt250 tecate that i recently put up on craigslist, im asking $1600 or good trades. Today a guy contacted me and asked if i would do a trade for a 1984 250r. The nike doesnt need much work looks good and starts first or second kick. MY bike the tecate is in decent shape but could use minor work. I was just wondering what you guys thought. IU have never rode a 250r and am unsure if it would be a good trade. I have had minor problems with my bike everytime that i go ride so im kind fed up with the tecate. Let me know what you guys think and if it would be a good trade. I have also noticed that the 250r's sell easier or craigslist and bring in good money-

I have never owned either but from what i have heard being on these boards every day for a year or two, i would stick with the Tecate. They are race ready liquid cooled badanus machines with a side of fugly.

Now if it was a 85-86 for your 84 T3, it might be a different story (To me anyways).

$1600 for a first gen tecate that's always breaking down? Condition is everything! Go check his out and then let us know. The air cooled R's are no joke.

'84 tecate would be worth more than the '84 250r... but condition is everything. the 250r is air cooled, the next year Honda decided to jump on board with Kawasaki and use liquid to cool their motors so you gotta keep that in mind. Parts are way easier to find for the Honda.
    I'm bringing the 80's back!

250r are pretty solid never had an issue with mine I have a small bore .40 over! Does great in the dunes has plenty of power! You can get them cheap in great shape so as long as it's in perfect shape the liquid Trikes are worth more but I understand how having problems can get annoying! Here's my 84

Have you ever owned a liquid R? I have owned both and love both, but there really is no comparison. That being said I'd take the Tecate over the 84 250r.
