Big Red followed me home! And a ?

I had the following thread going http://www.3wheelerworld.com/showthr...50es-good-deal
    Here are the results.

I wound up getting the 84' Big Red. It really was in great shape. Plastics near perfect. Was owned by an older couple who were the original owners. Used it around their farm for doing chores. They are getting rid of it because they are getting older and don't want a bunch of toys laying around.

It will be needing tires very soon. I have read threads with people asking for the best tires for mud and such, but what about pavement? There are trail near my hunting last that are 95% on paved county roads. I will be using it for hunting and tooling around our woods so will hit mud and such from time to time, but what would be a good tire that would hold up to paved roads yet still have tread enough to get me through some mud?

    Let me know. Much appreciated!

i just sold my'84 big red, i went from never owning a 250 big red, to now owning three within three days!!!, so had to let the '84 go so i'll have room, it's been a great wheeler over the years with little to no issues, as far as tires i wish i could help, i don't think there's any tire that will hold up to road riding, yet alone being a tire that would be the best of both worlds.............a pic of my now sold '84 big red..........Click image for larger version.

Nice find on the big red, looks decent. For tires just depends on how much you want to spend. I personally think anything under $75 bucks each for a 25x12x9 tire is decent. I've bought from denniskirk to eBay, but as of late find atvtiresore.com is the best bet. Takes 2-3 days tops and good prices.

I recommend the Kenda Scorpion $74.38 a piece. Have studded tires of these, work pretty good for me.

Does anyone have any experience with Carlisle HD Field Trax? They have one in 25x13x9, 3 ply. Says the actual sizes are 24.36 diameter x 12.55 wide. Would that work on an 84 200es?

    These look interesting...
