    Hy guys new guy on board

    Im new to this forum but i already red a lot of interesting posts in here. I just treaded my old ski doo for a yamaha ytm 200. The owner said its a 1983 but im confused i tried to identify the VIN number but with no luck, so maybe one of you can help me. The number is 43M-000124????

    There are very few people who look in the new members section. There is a vin decoder on here somewhere, I'll look in a but to see if I can find it.

    I don't see any Yamahas that match that number. I also checked my Yamaha book and there was nothing that matched.

    Where did you get that number from? Maybe that's part of the issue as well.
    If you post a picture of the trike someone could help identify it by looking at it.

    Vin# are 14 digits long on anything past 1981
    i dont think thats a Vin# looks like a Registatin or Engine Number.
    it should be stamped into the frame on the steering neck

    Mistery solved, i was talking to the yamaha dealer and apparently there went something wrong with the first two numbers, wasnt really sure what he was talking about its a 1984 YTM 200L

    Glad you could figure it out those old yamis are a different animal they have a lot of finicky headaches but they run like a Mexican paint job. Solid machine.
