Hodaline short course mock up done and will be installed SOON

Here they are Hondaline short course upper radiator bracket and lower bracket. Now these are raw form and will be cleaned up a little but I hope to have them installed maybe tomorrow. if wife doesn't have me watch a movie on lifetime channel!
But I am putting up pics so everyone can see how close to factory they are, tolerances were also close to .001 for consistency and 2 sets were made to see if most atc 250R's were similar. I am right now debating on selling these parts 20 sets were made but I have to talk to Wyan before and if I decide to sell. Strategy I am thinking about is selling these kits in stages I, II, or III obviously stage I is lower bracket and stage II will be upper radiator bracket and lower mount, and III will be lower triple tree and upper and lower mounts. A few things have to be worked out before and hope to have an answer or decision before Christmas. But an original Hondaline lower triple tree will be measured by a computer program with dimensions and stored in computer. We would then use an existing lower tree from customer to have milled from dimensions that were recorded by original Hondaline lower tree. Upper radiator brackets with blue tape are original Hondaline brackets that were used as templates.
Lower and upper brackets look very close to original Hondaline, "Can you see the difference"Click image for larger version.

Great work, these look great. If I remember correctly, aren't the small brackets that the front tank mounts to also specific to the st kits?

Mike great work! I'm sure you all are doing things correctly, so please don't take offence, but are you afraid/concerned if you simply mill an existing donor (stock OE) stem it will have lost some of it's structural integrity. The outer perimeter vain of material back of & to either side around the stem would be a concern from what I've looked at. Maybe you have plans to add material or beef up the stem after milling it into the required shape. Big props for tackling such a project! Please elaborate. Also any possible repops of #'s 10 & 11. These top tank to shroud mounts always got bent, and snapped. Usually missing in used kits today.
BKM... Brian, I'm thinking #'s 7 & 8 are simply '86 stock 90* degree angle braces. I see no difference in the two NOS ST kits I have purchased. The included 90* braces are a match to stock '86 90* braces. '85 braces won't work from my experience though. If someone knows different please chime in and correct me. I've been playing around with these parts lately too, so I'm still learning....

No offense to any comments, comments, concerns very helpful in what is being made! No real concerns but these aerospace machinist I am working with asked me to obtain both OEM and a hondaline SC lower tree to see if structural integrity will be compromised if milled. Machinists also asked for Hondaline SC lower tree to have measurements recorded if stock tree can be milled but I hope to be getting tree and other 90 degree brackets to see if those will need to be made as well. Wyan has been very instrumental in helping us out in this process and I can't thank him enough for loaning us parts needed.
Andy, I also did speak to Wyan about those upper fuel tank mounts, as soon as tree and those 90 degree mounts get here I have to meet with machinists to deliver parts and will drop those off as well. I will try and get those upper mounts made as well may also suggest to be made out of a thicker material to avoid any more breaks of those mounts.
Andy or Wyan also wanted to ask either of you if you have but can you post instructions on how to mount SC Kit also if you know did that kit come with extra bolts or hardware? Thanks everyone

The installation sheet (set up manual) unfolds like a large map/poster. It's too large to scan on my home PC. Here are the basic exploded diagrams. First one is of the OEM stock view and the second is of the optional ST kit installed. Miscellaneous hardware is included, but I couldn't recall each by nut/bolt...

Is there a way to get a part #for the 90 degree brackets in the kit? That way they could be compared to the 86 brackets. For some reason I remember my 86 brackets not working.

ID:	203967 I pulled one of my shrouds off and put a lower mount up to it 7 and 8 .The regular bracket looks like it mounts to the outside . The short track bracket is threaded and mounts to the inside I believe. It looks like the bracket will hit the shroud mounted on the outside. I have a extra set of radiator hoses if we could find someone to make them. After putting the shroud back on there is no question there is no room it will hit the shroud mounted on the outside. Also the bracket I'm holding up i'm not sure if its an 85 or 86 they are shaped deferent I cant find the other ones.

Poohbee1, you are correct. The st kit uses the 86 brackets. Here are pics of 86 brackets next to the st brackets and 86 vs. 85 brackets.

Top is an 85 and the bottom is an 86

So no need to worry about brackets #7/8. Just make sure you have a set of 86 brackets.
