Can't go wrong with little rascals but may be the wrong era.

...and to the thought about violence?
Weren't western THE most popular shows there for a while.
It was ALL about side arms and everyone shooting everyone
    for whatever reason.
    kinda like reality these days.
Funny we had less street violence back when those shows were on all the time.
and all the kids ran around with capguns and toy handgranades etc etc

I doubt that half that would fly from that show now.... it was so "intolerant" by today's ffd up politically correct standards..Nobody was safe from "profiling"
As the intro song title states..
    "Those were the days"
Archie was probably the best sitcom character of all time. Like you said due to the political correctness of today YouTube is about the only place to find clips of the show.

Mama's family was also one of my favorites.

    Uummmmmmm..... I dunno! LOL!

I used to watch alot of PBS when I was a kid growing up.. And being that I was always sort of into science and whatnot, remember 3-2-1 Contact?? LOL! Another one of my favorites.

Then in afternoons, it was always a fight between me and little brother.. He wanted to watch Mr. Rogers, I wanted to watch Magnum P.I.! HAHA!

Speak in of Mr Rogers....Look up Mr Robinson's neighborhood from Saturday Night Live from the 80s with Eddie Murphy.
Some of the funniest skits of all time were from The eddie murphy days. YouTube has most of em blocked out so you should use Google.

Forgot about Battlestar Galactica and Buck Rogers

This is a classic and shows just how far people have gotten away from satire and misconstrue a simple joke into offensive behavior..
