    87 atc125 build

so I have had this 87 TRX 125 for a while now, came with like new tires and ran but carb needs cleaning bad and headlight plastics are screwed, and with no suspension i havent been too motivated to work on it

i was out in the barn looking at my fl250 odyssey projects and other ATVS and realized the tires on the 125 are perfect ody replacements for my resto ody. at that point i decided how to best use this 125 not in its original fashion

i decided the no suspension front would make a great donor for making wider J arms with brakes for my modded ody.

i had noticed before but i also remembered that the TRX 125s were actually ATC125 frames with a front axle added. the single downtube is still there, and a hollow neck area thats just waiting for a triple to be welded on. of course sorting plastics will be most difficult, but im not going for a true 87 ATC125 clone, just want a nice little rider that i can let people ride without worrying about whether it gets torn up.

now i just need to sort out a front end. i could easily make a solid one from parts i have but i want suspension. anyone got any thoughts? i would think a nice 200x setup would be too tall, but then again id love some rear suspension too could always lift it lol
