yup, they leave the squish band alone [hopefully] and just enlarge the dome to the size/volume they calculate would be correct.

cool, rob will take care of you. Yes, he is making the dome pocket deeper for increased volume. For a stock head you should be running around 23cc's. I typically run my heads at 21-22 and my compression ends up being around 189-190 and I use 93.

If I knew where to get 93 around here I'd be all up for 190 PSI... but I have never seen it anywhere around here. Minnesota probably doesnt even sell it anywhere lol..

if you wanted t run more compression, you could buy torco gas additive which can raise it a couple octane points if you mix it rich, or you can buy real lead additive . . there is only one place in the world that makes it and as far as i know, it is still legal to use off road, but of course it is lead.

this being said, imo, in your case, the increase in power by increasing compression by 20 psi, is not enough to make it worth hassling with additives . . if you were a pro racer that could utilize all the power then it would be different . . its not like going from 170 psi to 190 psi will make it feel like it has 10 more hp.

hmm ok well that doesnt sound worth it to me! especially the extra cost of that additive. I'll stick with my 170-180 psi!
