If anyone was wondering, the hi-flite standard foam is approx. 1" thicker.
Here is a pic side by side with an original seat foam.
Bkm- the new cover is a perfect fit. Haven't stapled it yet but it looks just right.

I was able to find an article that 3 &4 wheel action did on jimmy White's bike and he did use a thicker foam.

I think Jackie used the thicker foam on his 125 also.
