Just picked up an 83 200x - Westcoast Swingarm and Race Tank??

So I picked up this X last night that the guy told me that it was raced in the Tacoma Dome in the 80's...

He said it has a web cam, balanced crank and bored 20 over etc.....runs great and very snappy!!

Once I got it home I started to research the tank and swing arm, those parts seem to line up with his statement and so I wanted to see if the pro's could tell me what I got!! (my 85 200S tank was just for firing it up!!)

    Westcoast +2 swing arm
    Race cut Tank?
    Chrome DG
    86 forks?

yep, +2 HD westcoast swing arm and a "massaged" 200x race tank. I assume the steering stops have been cut on the frame? Nice find.

Not sure yet on the stops, it seems to turn more to the right but still doesnt seem like its at full turn like it could be for having the tank notched!

Are the "Race Massaged" tanks and Westcoast Swingers worth anything? This bike is going to be a Missile conversion and if they are worth something to someone trying to build a period correct race bike then I would rather cut up a stock swinger to fab,
I dont have a problem using the tank for the project but a stock tank would work just fine too! If nobody needs this stuff here maybe I will post em up on eBay....

Yes they have value so please don't hack on either. The Westcoast is a 250-350 piece depending on condition. The tank is a sought after piece for a flat track build. If I was still in the game, I would have given a nice chunk for the tank.

Personally, that tank is one of the cooler items to pop up on here in a while. I love the cut steel tanks.

the forks are 83-84R and either 83-84R triples on a 200x steering stem or bored 200x triples.

I just did the same mod again on another 200x.

OK people; stop posting cool vintage race parts, my wife is getting pissed at me at this point. My Westcoast swingarm cost me a $400 coach purse.

because they are not short 200x forks. 83-84 R forks are the only ones that bolt up and use all your 200X front end stuff. I have put many sets on 200x's

200s forks only have about 6" inches of travel and (33mm tubes). 83-84R forks have about 9" and (35mm tubes). 85-86 R forks are a different animal 39mm tubes

See attached 200x forks length vs R forks and R forks on 200x
