My 250r ran like crap during the entire 2014 race season. I literally changed everything except the cylinder and piston. Turns out the gas station where I bought my race gas was selling watered down 110. I discovered it by pure accident. I was filling the tank one day and it spilled on the tank. The water beaded up on the tank like a freshly waxed car.

The storage tanks at the station closest to us as a kid had water leaking into them, so a small shot of methyl hydrate in each tank was the norm. Car, truck, snowmobile whatever. I should start doing that again down here as well. Towing in the mountains is not fun. Had this happened 5 minutes earlier a helicopter would have been needed to extract the bike.
