Yep, very fine. It is typically what u charge the pan with on a flinter. Catches easy and very reactive. Good for lighting the main charge. Although in this case I am also using 4f as a charge due to bore size. Less residue to foul. U would not want to charge your typical rifle with 4f as a general rule. (I guess it could be done but the volume would have to be significantly decreased.)
