Okay, i will describe my way since i have learned how to copy + paste on this phone very well.
Short peice of clear tubing over bleeder and other end into a cup with fluid in it,,, open bleeder.
Beste to keep fluid in ressy while you slowly pump lever.
You will see air bubbles in cup and the fluid levle rise. If the cup on floor is near over flow simply dump it back into your container you are keeping rezzy full with.
Once you are sure air is out of system, close bleeder and see if you have resistance,,, you should. It may be a bit sponggy so a couple more loosen bleeder, squeze lever and tighten bleeder before teleasing handle may be needed.
Did you teplace/inspect the tiny o rings where piston shaft slides thru ???
Yes, that's how I've been doing it. But I still don't have any fluid coming out of the bleeder valve clear tube into a container. It's leaking out a little around the bleeder screw thread though.
As much as i hate saying it you must be sucking air in the caliper.
If the teeny weeny o ring in the caliper housing is broke or missing it will suck air. Thats where i went wrong along time ago.
I just took a moment to look at tecate brake breakdown. No stem on the piston. It had to be one on the x modle hondas that i had in mind.
But at anyrate it sounds like air is getting sucked in.
Yeah everything is rebuilt on the brake system.
Did you make sure bleeder valves were cleaned out??
you know whats right therefore you know what is expected
Any time I do a new line or have lost fluid for what ever reason in the master cylinder I put a flat head or similar in between the brake pads and get the caliper up higher than the MC. Bleed as you would normally but having the caliper higher lets the bubbles want to naturally run to the top as opposed to be forced down to the bleeder.
2 in the back, 1 in the front.
Thanks for the good tips guys! I'm a goof, I thought I had cleaned the bleeder screw but turns out after another inspection that I only cleaned the cross hole at the bottom and forgot to clean the dried mud out of the hole down the middle. Goter' done now, took 10mins to have front brakes working great! Lol!
I was able to finish reassembling the front end tonight, after fork seals and repaint the bottom of the forks.
so I figured out tonight what was wrong with my trike not wanting to run below 1/4 throttle as mentioned earlier. I decided to turn the idle screw in all the way until the spring was fully compressed and it ran better but still quit. So then I removed the spring completely and screwed it in all the way and it idles nice and ran sweet! Now, wondering if the plastic idle screw was shortened at a time or something? It measures 1.25" long from under the head to the tip. This is all I can think of why it has to be turned all the way in, is it has been shortened.
At any rate I got to take her for a rip tonight for the first time and almost crapped my pants lol! I'm stoked!!
Nice looking Tecate, A rare find here in Ontario. Where did you pick that one up?

Hey there fellow southern ontarian! I found it on Kijiji from a guy in Barrie, but it ended up needing a lot of work, but it's worth it, I'm seeing the end of the tunnel now. Lol! Wouldn't have been a good trike for someone that wasn't inclined with these things. Looks like you have quit a collection there, awesome!
Did a couple Tecate's. The green one is still floating around Ontario in a collection near Oshawa and the red and white one was sold to a fellow who passed a couple years ago and I'm not sure where it ended up. Found that I would always bring one with me but always chose to ride the Honda. Yours is looking really nice, great attention to the detail items makes for a really nice build.

I figure its not right, last night I fiddled for a couple hrs not getting anywhere, Im learning but I'm confused why I can't get it to full rpm at wot. Ive went from a 162 main jet to a 168 and still same. Im going to try again tonight and do some plug examining, and adjust the float again maybe to allow a little more fuel. Its a PWK quad vent 35 carb. Also the jetting thread is helpful too.
