    1984 Honda ATC 110

    Whats up everyone?

Thanks for allowing me to hop in this cool world. I only ride Honda and had to snag a 3 wheeler!

    So I got an 84 ATC 110...

    Couple questions:

Will the rear light on an 83 fit my 84 ?
What oil do you guys recommend i use for it?

    Thanks for your help!

    Cheers!

    Hey welcome,
The taillight will fit and depending the climate you're in will determine the oil.. 20w-50 to 10w -30 for cold climates I run both of those depending on the season.. the heavier weight is a bear to get started and warmed up enough in the cold weather here in the Midwest but is perfect for the warmer months..

If you mean what brand of oil I suggest Castrol Avecto 10w40. It's all I run in my 200s and I beat that thing like I hate it. In the last three engines i've had in the bike I haven't had problems with the clutches or the trans gears, and none of them have locked up on me so it seems like a good oil.

Make sure whatever oil you get is compatible with a wet clutch. I used Valvoline ATV 10W-30 in my ATC200M.

Good point barnboy. Dont buy regular car oil from walmart get an oil made for powersports w/ wet clutch. personally I use polaris but any of the name brand synthetics will be good oil. Like DAM said weight/viscosity depends on the climate. Heres a chart for you.

Welcome to the madness. We're probably neighbors and our weather here would allow you to use a straight weight too. There's several motorcycle shops close to us and as you only need @ 1 quart of oil buy Hondaline, Maxima or what I use is Kendall.

Oil for a wet clutch, oops didn't know that Indy.. what's the difference? I've always used regular motor oil.

All oil that is wet clutch safe will be marked on the back with JASO MA. Im not sure if there are other differences but car engine oil for example doesnt have the additives needed for a wet clutch and can cause slippage. Had a buddy that changed the oil on his banshee and used cheap pennzoil from the store and as soon as he changed it his clutch started slipping.
