I would just keep the stock gears and have them frozen.2 cents

It ain't worth the extra gear.

I'm thinkin it is. From what I've recearched the first 5 gears are the same, and the 6th is like a highway gear. I always thought that the XR200 6th gear was 1-1 same as the 200x 5th gear but from what is said on thumpertalk its not the case. I supose the guy could be wrong but I guess I got to find out for myself.
    Here's a discussion about it.

Yea, If I rode like Mike I'd want the 200x tranny.
She's gonna be mostly babied. But if the gears go I have a nice 200x motor that would love an upgrade. I just hope if I explode the tranny that the expensive pieces make it through it.

Ya know what I don't get...

You shipped it to them with the mains on the crank, which they said were good and could be reused.

They couldn't have left them on the crank during all that work (or did they?) because as soon as you remove them from a crank, they aren't supposed to be reused.....

Sadly, I don't think they will do any rod work on my 86 200X motor....
All our government does is distract us while they steal from us, misspend our tax $ and ruin our country

There is a guy on .org that is selling a 86 200X with work done to the motor by Powerroll.

SO , What is the outcome of this build?

The results have been dropped like Elaine Bennis's plan, I'll DROP you LIKE aBAG OF DIRT!" for Frank Costanza in scene at police station?

My 81' Powroll 218cc Stroker is still running STRONG!!

This thread is only 14 years old. I’m sure the OP will be along shorty to follow up. Stand by.

14 years isn’t so long. Have faith in his return.
And know that I am with you always; yes, to the end of time

    WOW, Duh.
Wellsn' der ya' habit, I-sn' justn' learneded hown' to makn' disn'punchy dingy workn', causn' yestrndayn' Isn', couldn'evn spelln' mecaineck, todaysn' I r-uh.

Most Aware of Date, just didn't understand why 14 Years ago, someone would start this thread, get all the interaction of 36 posts about a $250 stroker that turned into a $450, cry about it, then not even give the feedback he was asking for, from the poster to begin with? Leave multiple people that take the time to input different viewpoints and experiences w/ said product he is searching for answers to the original being asked by hisns' POST of.... Thread: Powroll stroker 200x...Worth it or not??

I just was "asn' fo-n' closn' or enin o' "What Happened to the build". Now, that it is 14 years later?
My Powroll 218 Stroker, from 1987, is still running Strong as I stated and will trump any "2-smoke, wanna' ga fast" in it's way, under the right conditions for the era'.

If the purpose of the thread was to see how many answers/hits it could get, well done, I was one of the DAs along with everyone else that read it.
Just feel like I got Punked, That's all.

Kinda' like finding that exciting article about your favorite 3-wheeler, you buy the publication, PDF electronic subscription, that states lots of low-cost improvements YOU could make, lots of type about it, but no improvements mentioned.

I totally understand things happen, life gets in the way, etc., etc., been there, done that, got da' t-shirt. But don't leave a 3-wheeler brother hangn'.

Might as well head back over to TT, where evidently the reading, Posts, Threads, responses, follow ups to the questions asked & answers suggested, might be more Enquiring. Afterall, as the "Most sought out publication in the world of Important News"(The National Enquirer) would say "Enquiring Minds want to Know!"
Otherwise, I guess this thread should end where most of this type belongs, just like the "National Enquirer", in the bird cage to capture all the good stuff falling and then INTO the trash.

If by “TT” you mean thumper talk and are implying that none of the threads on there don’t just end abruptly leaving the reader hanging I would beg to differ. There’s some good information on there, but there’s also a lot of garbage from my experience. Enjoy.

TT is just another VerticalScope owned forum, but it went down hill before that. It's an absolutely terrible place unless only doing a search for relative content. Even then, most threads are full of irrelevent BS and one has to trudge through it for real info.

There's an overabundance of keyboard experts there who have clans of lackies to support them. Woe to anyone who speaks against them. It's like ADVrider, but with younger idiots.
