    Lets see them Blue 70s

I am trying to buy a 1983 christmas special blue 70. I wanted to see how many people on here have one. I also need to know what the going rate for one is? The guy says he got it from a friend that was a Honda dealer back in the day and it has been stored inside ever since it was new. I am going to look at it tomorrow and he said we could make a deal for around $300 so if I get it I will post pics as well.

$300 is the going price for a mostly complete decent running red 70.
You could turn around and sell a stored blue one for at least twice that price, if it as nice as you describe.

I have seen beat up 83 blue 70's go for $500 and up. I always wondered what the actual number of blues 70's were released.

I have been looking for a blue 83 for awhile now. Everyone I find is either to expensive or the deal goes south for one reason or another. Then out of the blue(no pun intended) this falls into my lap. All original and came with the original cert of origin, manual, warranty book, throttle control tag and the Honda dealerships envolpe. Its not the cleanest one around but I finally found one. Only bad part is the kid who owned it before me broke the rear fender. He didnt know the blue ones were a limited edition.
    What do you guys think.

I had one once, now it belongs to another board member. I had a nos front fender for it too. What you can do is get a set of the fiberglass fenders in the blue color they offer. It's a pretty decent match for the blue of the 70 and is your fastest and cheapest alternatvie at this moment. I've never seen a nos set of rear fenders. Nice find. I wouldn't have passed on that either. Congrats on your find.
