    Roger,

This is actually my brother's bike - that he "donated" to our collection to complete it a year ago. He got this new in Christmas 1984. I got one that year too - but thrashed it so badly it looked like Chuck Norris was mad at it.

The front rack is black - although it looks kinda chrome in the picture. I believe he got it from either JC Whitney - or Dennis Kirk.

It mounts to the 4 bolts that hold the shocks in the triples with slotted plates. I really like the looks of front racks on 200Ss and on 200Xs and SXs.

This maybe it - but there is no picture shown - and DANG - they went up in price!

Here's the really nice one's Yepppppppppppeeeer's,these are the garage queen's Actually I just picked these up yesterday ,the one with the blackwater's actually run's really good.

I agree with ya liking this thread Keister,I love seeing the old hardtail's ..

Tim the reason I asked on the rack was cuz I got a chrome front and rear on a 200M awhile back and could'nt figure out why someone would chrome it but after I did some investigating they were Hondaline rack's. I did'nt know they had 'em chrome.

OK, here's my submission. It's not the prettiest yet but hey, it way free. So in my book, it stands out as pretty nice.

Sandpuppi's is deffinately a front runner but I bet it was'nt free.

Not the prettiest around, but gets the job done and is prettier than when I got it.

When I got it home, ready for a wash

As soon as I get near my son's again, I will get pictures. It is a 1984 and was used on a 5 acre "farm" it's whole life until we bought it. It was always garaged, and still had it's original tires on it. The knobs are about 1/2 gone. I don't think it was ever in 5th gear and I suspect it was never in 4th. The plastic is perfect accept for a few scratches where the guy drug his foot, they'd polish out pretty easy. We cleaned the carb, changed the oil and put a new spark plug in it. The plug we took out, looked original. In the sunlight, with some plastic wax, it's looks brand new. We took it to Wanoka last year and had a number of people looking at it, asking if it was restored, commenting they hadn't seen one that nice for 20 years.
