I see all these trikes with polished motors... where do they get this done? Or what are they for motors? Cost? They make a trike stand out big time.

Harbor Freight has quite a bit of polishing supplies and equipment at low cost - but usually needs a lot of elbow grease to get desired results.
I did my aluminum with wire wheels, shiny enough for me.
wire wheel will leave good sized gouges. Strip the paint off with paint stripper or brake cleaner and I got the harbour freight kit that goes on a drill
The chutch side i used a drill but the stator and cdi I did right and looks great

Mine didn't have paint, but it was badly corroded. I actually had to sand the caliper to get the barnicles off. I kept going finer with the wire wheels till the scratches were minimal. I bought that polishing kit also, gonna have to get it out now after seeing yours. Big difference.

Heres an 86 Motor I did about 4 years ago...
Lots of work, but fun, used a canvas buffing wheel and
Green and Red Jewelers Rouge, Stripped the paint and
Started with the Red, and finished with Green. The Cylinder
and Head, need to be sanded, use high speed and light
pressure to avoid low spots.
Its alot shinier, just dusty from sitting around. need to
get it in the trike one of these days. Id say I have about 15
hours into it, and I didnt do the centercases.
Im sure a pro with the right tools could do it faster, but I was
determined to do it myself. The waterpump cover was a pain.
I finally gave in and painted the parts I couldnt polish with black paint.
Maybe i'll get it wiped down and take a better pic of it tonite.
but heres the one I have of it in the computer.
No Clue what I or anyone else would charge to do it. HH
