Heres a 3 wheeler that you do not see everyday

I got this a few years back from an auction of a minibike repair shop. It is made in Taylor Michigan by Metro Recreational Vehicles. I also have the mini bike version of this, the Trapper Trail Bike made in Dearborn Heights Michigan. This thing flies and unlike most 3 wheelers this has a differential.

Where I grew up, my neighbor had a minibike that looked something like that. It was way faster than my Ruttman. I didn't know they made a three wheeler too. Could you could post a pic of the minibike?

Geez that thing's scary! Looks like something my uncle and I would have cobbled up when we were kids. Not to say I wouldn't ride it!

Anybody that designs something that they say is completely idiot proof, fails to realize the resourcefulness of a complete idiot.

The major difference between a thing that might go wrong and a thing that cannot possibly go wrong is that when a thing that cannot possibly go wrong goes wrong it usually turns out to be impossible to get at and repair.

I can post some pictures of the minibike, I should have them up later tonight. I have two Trappers, one with tires and rims identical to the trike and the other Trapper has balloon tires. The balloon tired one is taken apart and just needs to be put back together. Its fine to ride, the front tire is NOS and is used to just roll it around the garage. I have a different front tire for when I ride it.

Lol. I knew of that bike some time ago on oldminibikes.com I'm a member who owns a El Burro Sand N Sno Bike Super 8. The bike you have is rare. It was discussed on omb.com that the rear-end was homebuilt. Have fun with that bike!

I did have it on OMB, I am Sam. They had mix feelings about it as it was not a mini bike. They would tear apart a Tote Gote trike all day and night. I will get it out of the shed tomorrow and get some pictures up of it. The motor is a Tecumseh AH817MB. From reading minibike stories and vintage kart sites I have found that it would run with the kart engines in its day. As for will it float, I would have to say yes as it weighs very little. If a US90 can float than this thing will be a pontoon boat.

with that, I'd find a way to mount a set of rubber pattles to the tires and put it in the lake and use it as a motorized paddle boat. i bet she floats good!

I have to agree you'll definitely catch more mud than usual riding that though, haha
