    85 Honda ATC 200X

    Hello to all at 3wheelerworldforums!!

I am new to this site, and new to three wheelers also. I recently purchased a 1985 Honda ATC 200X, for $700. I just wanted to post some pictures and see what you guys thought of the new investment. I am wanting to make improvements to the trike, though Im not really sure what to do. This is just going to be a new hobby of mine, and I would like to make this 3 wheeler unique, in both looks and performance. Any input would be appreciated! Thanks a lot, I think this site is great and look forward to learning and having a great time here!

Welocme to the site. Nice looking 200X ya got. $700 seems like a fair price for a clean machine. I personally would ditch the mudflaps. Make it a little sportier looking. Watch Ebay for a supertrapp exhaust and open her up a little bit. CAUTION: This site is very addictive.

Yeah I dont like the mudflaps, the guy I bought it from put those on...Im just waiting to gain a little knowledge before I figure out exactly what to do, I dont want to just jump in and start taking things apart. The rear plastic has a crack that has been repaired, I'd like to replace all plastic eventually.

This seller on Ebay allways seems to have decent prices on plastic. Unfortunately aftermarket is about the only way if you plan on staying within a budget. Please feel free to ask if you have any questions. And I'm sure someone will say "Get a manual". It does help alot.

The same rear fenders thorugh Maier are $200.25.

No problem, any time. Also check for some 300EX hubs. They have the smae bolt pattern and splines and will widen it up a little.

Check the Trikefest forums. We're about 39 days for Trikefest 09. You should try to make it if you can. You will not regret it. You will see every trike imaginable.

Nice lookin trike! Little more complete than mine was when I got her. Just a personal thing, I'd widen it out, and drop down to a 20" tire on the back. Just feels so much better that way, plus makes it look A LOT sportier, especially after you ditch the flaps! I've not been on this site long, either, but it really is a wealth of info, once you dig around long enough, anyway!

Anybody that designs something that they say is completely idiot proof, fails to realize the resourcefulness of a complete idiot.

The major difference between a thing that might go wrong and a thing that cannot possibly go wrong is that when a thing that cannot possibly go wrong goes wrong it usually turns out to be impossible to get at and repair.

    200x

nice start to a great hobby.id personally get an after market exhaust, take off mudd flaps, maybe some lower profile tires for the rear,it will give you more low end torque.and the lowprofile fenders that sykolincoln has would look awsome
