Adjust the clutch. There is a screw with a 14mm nut on it on the brake pedal side of the engine (clutch cover). I am pretty sure you loosen the nut and turn the bolt ccw until you feel some resistance then back it off an 1/8- a 1/4 turn and tighten the nut back up (you need to hold the screw from turning while you tighten) Good luck and it should work like a charm!

    ^What he said.

From the manual - Loosen the locknut, turn the adjusting screw counterclockwise until resistance is felt. Then turn the adjusting screw clockwise 1/4 turn and tighten the locknut.

I've had the same problem. On one, I was able to grab the end of the adjusting screw with vise grips (one side of the screw slot was broke off and the threads were jacked anyway) and got it loose. On the other, I had to take the side cover off.
