    Noob with 200x

Just recently got an 85 200x off of craigslist. Always wanted a trike since i was 6 or so. They are too fun! So the guy i got it from said it wouldnt run right cause he thinks he rebuilt the carb wrong. Took the carb off, cleaned it and put it back on and she fired up! Puffed a little smoke when revved up. Noticed smoke was shooting out between the cylinder jug and head as well. Tiny crack in the head gasket. Bought a complete gasket kit for it and decided to put some money in her! Cylinder jug has 2 tiny scores in the cylinder wall so im going to have it honed out along with new rings. Has maier 86-87 rear plastics and maier tank shrouds, cobra pipe, renthal handle bars, yamaha rear rims and maxxix razr tires.
Cant wait to get it on the trails! Looking for some parts for my motor as well. Flywheel cover, piece that the cdi cover bolts to that bolts to the head, carb to air filter box tube, and engine skid plate. Looking forward to chating with all the trikesters and learning more. heres a couple pics of my X!

nitty gritty time! Took the cylinder jug and piston to the local atv shop where i found out the engine has already been bored .40 over and it had a couple nice scores in the cylinder wall. Decided to take it over .60 thousands along with new piston and rings. Drained and cleaned the oil filter. Polished the cdi cover, valve caps and carb bowl. I need a stator side cover asap! Someone screwed mine up

going to tackle the timing next! any tips info or comments are always welcome

Hellyeah! I just picked up a 85 200x as well. Mine is in much ruffer shape though and has a 200m engine swapped on for some reason. If I could ask you a small favor I am trying to decifer some hack jobs on mine and could I ask you to take closer pics of the grab bar, the carb, and the right foot peg and brake assembly? That would help me so much. BTW you 200x is looking very nice and I love the tires.

Started putting it all back together. got the air tube from the carb to air box, picked up some new swing arm chain tensioners. painting the swing arm in the process. Be completely done when i get a stator side cover and new swing arm bearings.
