    new (to me) 1986 200x

    so i picked up a 1986 200x today from a craigslist ad. paid $450 for it. here's the lowdown:

    the guy i got it from moved here from california some years back. while living there, he bought it from the original owner. supposedly it had a new piston and top end, work done to the rear shock, had the frame powder coated white and some customizing (as you can see from the pictures). the seller told me he rode it about a year after moving to texas, then burned the clutch up pulling tree stumps from his yard with it after hurricane ike a few years ago. it's been sitting ever since.

    the clutch cover is off and all of the clutch and parts are removed. so i'm not sure if all the parts are there, and i think part of the clutch basket is broken. supposedly the clutch is the only problem with it, other than some good ole TLC. these pictures are from my phone, i will be getting some better ones posted soon.

    Try looking at the manual in the world class help section. Try to look at teh parts to teh clutch, I would say hellish deal!! Even with the clutch issuie. Looks clean.
    But is it just me or is that the Light that goes on it??

    no, no questions... yet. i've got a manual downloaded and have been looking it over a bit. that's not the stock headlight for it, it was just slapped on there.

    i have no idea on the pipe yet. all i had time for yesterday was to snag this baby and get it in my garage. i plan on going over it and cleaning it up, then get some better pictures of it all.

    Trust me, an 85 250R headlight looks GOOD on an 86.
