What makes it higher is the dwindling value of the dollar, parts availablity, interest, and the fact that most have been scrapped out by now. Racing has a small influence...but does that mean you can flip a $500 250R to a prospective racer for $1000. To make the machine race ready that 5-$800 bargin gonna run you deep into the pockets. Motor, bearings, suspension, cosmedics, tries...so a race ready $2500 250R thats truely track worthy...is a bargin.

It seems up here they are way overpriced, ive seen a few yamahaulers with junk plastic and tires for around a grand when In reality they are worth a few hundred bucks.

At the same time it all depends what you want, I payed $700 for my 225 dx last fall. Prob a couple hundred more than it was worth, but items like that are harder to find.

and my Tri Z was a whole different story

So like said, you gotta pay to play!!

Wrong, I actualy was asking if the prices now days are higher or lower then they was around 10 years ago before the recession.

$3549?? Why so high? The 1984 Honda specs page on this site shows an approx. retail new price of $1748 for a 84 200x.

Decent running liquid trikes are still priced 1500 and up usually asking 2200 or more in MA CT RI. Otherwise prices have held about the same. You will find 350X machines usually listed 2500-3500 but the ones for 1000 to 1500 are what sell.

Some screaming deals can still be had and you will see the outrageous POS listings that will never sell for the asking price. Clean machines will cost more to buy now as years go by less are available.

My AZ title has "List price, 003299" First titled in 7/84.

I was a little off on my statement above. Not sure if that was selling price, or price for VAT.

I paid a LOT less than that for it LOL.
