*** Pics of my Honda 250R ATC ***

    Hello all,

A couple of months ago, I purchased an all original, never raced/abused one owner '85 Honda 250R ATC. Very complete original R - everything is there - missing nothing - nothing broken. Only rode it a couple times so far. Detailed it up. Thought I would post a few pics - '84 Big Red also snuck in for the photo opportunity.

BEFORE: At the seller's quonset in Alberta, Canada.

AFTER: Back home in Saskatchewan, Canada with a little time and elbow grease

Nothing like the sound of a 2 stroke trike!!!

Very nice, I'm looking at those the reflectors- I've only ever noticed them on European Rs. Were the US models equipped with them as well?

I am not too sure - someone correct me if I am wrong. I think the American 250R did not have reflectors. The Canadian 250R did. My '84 200es also has the reflectors. Think it was a requirement (law) for Canadian trikes (???)

Just a little history on my '85 Honda 250R. I purchased this bike from the original owner. I placed a wanted ad for a clean, original stock liquid R. A month later, the seller contacted me by e-mail saying he had a clean example. It was a 6 hour drive one way. He bought this R in 1987 when he was 21 years of age. Must have been leftover stock at the dealership. He told me that it was his dream to go to the Glamis Sand Dunes in Cali with it but that never happened. This trike is totally original with nothing missing or broken. It runs strong. The skid plates are lazer straight with no dents or scratches - rear skid plate has the black paint intact. Never raced or rolled. All the OEM tools are there. Original bill of sale and owner's manual, too. The seat is as new - soft with no rips or pinholes. The plastic is beautiful - no scratches or fading. The trike was stored indoors all its life. Before I loaded the R onto my truck for the journey home - the seller asked if he could take it for a last ride. "Of course, I said. When he came back and got off the R he had tears in his eyes. I shook his hand and told him it would be taken care of - just the way he had for all these years. He knew it was going to a good home.

    Hey bkvette3

Nice to see there are some stock atc250r s still kicking around... I still remember the day I came home from Kindergarten when my dad & older brother brought/bought his brand new 86 atc350x and one of his best friends bought an 86atc250r. I was in total awe and bouncing off the walls especially when he took me for rides. But a few years later he sold it and bought a car to go university with and man was I ever p*ssed with my bro for selling it. I always said I if I ever got a chance to buy a nice clean stock 86/85 Atc250r or atc350x, Tri-z or Tecate when I was old enough that I would. Now I own a few of them. What part of Saskatchewan are you from and do your riding in and around.
Keep it stock and clean. Beautiful trike...
No- Point in standing around and just watching! Get out and ride!

I reside in Regina, Sask. Not really many places to ride around here. Owned the R for 2 months now and have rode it 2 times (maybe 25 - 30 minutes total on the trike). Should stay clean and intact - sits in the corner of the garage.
