My insurance sucks now, Rick. Just as you suspected. I got sued last year for hospital bills that my insurance refused to pay whereas in previous years, the same stuff was covered

Insurance prices dropped on January 1st, 2019 so if you are self employed go find a new plan ASAP!

If you are on an employer plan once the calendar year of the old Obama care policy expires, much lower renewal rates should be offered. If not question why the price didn't drop ALOT!


Health Insurance needs to be ala carte with no preconditions held against you, no need for single payer run by Uncle Sam.....you think private insurance companies take advantage? Wait til half your paycheck is sucked into the 'Medicare for all' slush fund. Lawmakers want to cut out the middle man 'for profit' insurance companies to keep more for of the loot for themselves....

Yes my insurance was cheaper this year than last. It's still 100% more expensive than it was in 2013 and my deductible is still 300% higher than it was when I had "a Cadillac plan" that apparently offended people who don't want to improve their own lot in life and also the insulated and priveledged children who majored in activism in college... So Obama declared it illegal(they used the creative language, 'obsolete')... No white privilege health plan for Doug! Let's also not forget the tax penalty I had to pay the second year for cancelling my forced socialism. Do I get that back too?

I agree, not having good healthcare sucks. Do people die or suffer as a result? I'm certain of that. Maybe nowhere near the fear monger levels reported on TV but I'm sure it happens. Does that mean I deserve to pay twice as much? Nope. I got my own health problems with their own out-of-pocket expenses. Do I think someone else should pay more so that I can have reduced cost heart surgeries? Nope. It's MY burden to bear and my bill to pay. Why should someone else subsidize me to continue to eat fried crap and destroy myself with sloth and apathy? It's my fault I needed a bypass and I'm not entitled to anything from anyone else

I don't want the government to have even one more ounce of control in my life and I don't care what they claim they're going to fix.

What's the difference between myself and my employer paying my healthcare bill to a private insurance corporation as opposed to me paying a chunk of my paycheck to a government-controlled single payer provider? You're still paying for your own healthcare either way, no?

The difference is that in one system, I can opt out of participating but I'm on my own if I need medical care. No pay equals no care... In the other system, it doesn't matter if you don't pay, you still get care because they made sure to charge extra to the people who DO pay to cover you as well.

I'd rather pay for my own healthcare to Humana or another private insurance company than to pay for my own healthcare to Obamacaid or Berniecare. I guarantee that I get more for my money with Humana

You think we pay enough tax to get government provided healthcare. I agree with that assessment but I'm under no impression that they wouldn't retain the current tax rate and continue wasting that money on traffic lights in Tel Aviv while they jack up the rate an additional 30% on top of what we already pay.... Unless you're a corporation.... Since I know this to be true, I want no part of increased taxes or social medicine because one thing always begats the other.

There is no such thing as "anything is better than what we have now"... That's almost never true.

Don't forget that the same people who orchestrated the 911 MURDERS are the ones you want to do the right thing and divert your tax bucks into some solid righteous and fair healthcare system.
