What colors?

Well, since I'm putting the 200X engine that's been freshly in the PE I've decided to paint the rest of the bike too. I've sanded down the side panels, and tank but I still need to do the fenders and frame. I'm trying to decide what colors I want to go with. I want to do something a little different than most. I'd like to stay away from factory colors like Honda red, Kawi green, Suzuki yellow, etc.
Right now I'm thinking white with a blue frame and accents like my trike. I'd probably get a blue seat cover also if I went that route. But I'd like some other ideas.

I'm not sure if they even still make plastics for it. They did when I got it, but that was about 2 years ago. And I think they were $120 per side panel, so even if they still make them, I won't be going that route. Plus, like I said, I wanted to stay away from factory colors.
I'll just use Krylon Fusion like I did with the 200X. Came out pretty nice.

You could make it look like a modern CR with a white frame and red/white plastics. I think that'd look pretty hot. But you said you wanted to stay away from "factory" so I guess that's out of the picture.

For a more colorful look, you could keep the blue frame and do white plastics like you did the 200X. I like the looks of that combination.

You could go with a gunmetal frame and white/black plastics, I think that would look pretty cool as well.

Or you could go wild and out and have a neon green frame, neon purple swingarm, neon red triple clamps, neon yellow front fender and neon orange rear fender and sideplates. Oh, and your tank could be neon blue. You'd just need to get a complimentary zebra striped seat and you'll have the ultimate mid-90's dirt bike.

I was just wondering. I think that a black frame and red/black plastics would fit the "Honda" theme better than yellow and blue (still can't figure out why those colors are even there... )

Well the yellow and blue are there because it technically still is a Suzuki, just with a Honda motor. I like the idea of a white frame though, might switch around my idea of white plastic and go with blue plastics and white frame/accents.

EDIT: those zebras seats are so odd looking. I still can't figure out who thought that it would be a good idea.

I have a love/hate relationship with zebra stripe seats, I actually home-made one with spraypaint once (on my friend's LT160). It looked good, but that's probably because the LT also had a pair of handlebars as the bumper, bicycle handlebars and a straight pipe...

If you know what an LT160 bumper looks like, it's basically a peice of straight tubing with two bends at the ends that curve back toward the back of the machine. What we did was took my old YZ80 handlebars that I bent in a crash and used some U-bolts to attach it to the stock bumper. That extended coverage all the way across the front of the machine and provided grab-handles for when it got stuck in mud. We even put handgrips on the bumper for more comfort when lifting!
