soft no more, at least for parts.
There has not been a decent 250R on ebay since OC spotted the one that was mis listed. Man am I pissed I missed that one. I even emailed the buyer and offered $500 more than what he just paid....he didn't even reply..lol

Other smaller or lesser known companies, such as Tiger ATV, Franks, and Cagiva, produced racing three wheelers, but in much smaller numbers. Few of these machines are known to exist today and are highly sought by collectors.

Back to these parts...It will make me reconsider what I do with SOME of my stuff if I ever decide to sell someday. My 1986 250r has some insane long discontinued bolts ons....... ALL the following NOS.....NOS swingarm, handlebars, front wheel and "PRO VECTOR" spelled out tire, NOS HA2 axle , skid plate, brake line, calipers, rear grab, muffler, and much more I am forgetting. probably $2500-3000 in those parts in a market high that I could replace with REAL nice stuff for $500 shopping smart and waiting, buying cheap BIN's etc. I will probably pick up cheap used replacements over the long haul when price lows on parts are evident. I would proabably offer it up first with all the goodies but would have to get a those prices factored in to the final sale price on top of a high average price for a mint R.

OC, I am scratching my head also.... I still think a mint 86 250R will pull $6000k.
I am not convinced on these bids. The parts are really nice but if you are restoring an 85 250R, since the bike is all apart already, wouldn't you repaint the swingarm. The 2 side pro link stickers are still available........I am very leary, although I do like the seller and have bought alot of parts from him. Maybe there is somebody in the market right now looking for a mint restore..?????
I might just put my near mint 85 on ebay.......

No doubt you can make used parts look very nice but to the purist there is nothing better than perfect or new honda factory paint or finish....I think that gold is pretty hard to match spot on as well. So thats when the prices get loopy.
