    Questions about 350x

I am going to look at a 85 350x on sat. Is there anything I should be on the look out for?. Whats the good and bad on these bikes?. I am pretty familiar with the 250r's but the x's I know very little about. It's almost original except for exhaust.
It does have a"RAD aluminum billet rear bearing carier and tapered bearings".
I have no idea why. Was there a problem with the rear end on these bikes?.

First thing, take the rear fenders off and look for cracks in the frame.

Yes, but it is not a deal breaker. Check above the footpegs (downtube) near the rear engine mount - also at the top rear where the seat is attached.
If you find cracks in these common places it was ridden hard & jumped, if not, it was probably babied.
In any case, it is easily remedied - tube over and add gussets. Do a search on here and you should gets lots of information.

I weigh just over 200lbs. Do the 350's have enough power to haul me around?
I am used to the 250r's power, I just don't want to be disapointed.

dude, all 20+ year old off road machines need checked out real good......i dont think they are realy that much worse then any other bike for cracks and stuff but you got to check.

that being said, every bike has a weakness and some are general....like most quads and trike like to break around the foot peg area.

just check every weld since most cracks like to start off a weld
