86/87 Tecate front fender is now on the endangered species list...

Yep Fellas even I missed the boat on this one...

they went on the "Active, limited quanity" list 6 months ago, I went back to look yesterday and there now on the "Cancled" list.

talked to my dealer and he said no warehouses showed them in stock.

so if your antisipating a tecate restore or rebuild you better snatch up whats out there floating around...

I just bought a New OEM front and rear fenders as either a future investment like the 250r stuff or in case I happen to buy one I'll have new oem fenders for it. I'm not missing the boat like I did with the 250r fenders and pay quadruple what I could of a few years ago.

That's a great heads up for the tecate owner to get their set I could be wrong but I think it will take some time to make money out of them from a resale standpoint...To many people have been stocking up on them for years and the Tecates numbers are far less than 250r's . I had purchased NOS tecate parts for a solid 7-8 years and the parts that go real high have been discontinued for more than a decade. During that decade people have socked away all the available fenders and shrouds. You will see them coming out of closets, attics, garages for some time to come chasing the "tecate gold fever"
Wikipedia "All Terrain Vehicle" Definition excerpt
Other smaller or lesser known companies, such as Tiger ATV, Franks, and Cagiva, produced racing three wheelers, but in much smaller numbers. Few of these machines are known to exist today and are highly sought by collectors.

Orange you must have been reading my mind a few hours ago. I was thinking about the low number of bikes made vs. the extended availability of the oem fenders. I am sure that most (not all) who have these bikes have already bought the new stuff seeing how us 250r guys got caught with our peckers in our hands when they disc. those parts.

I plan on buying one some day and refuse to get caught a second time.
