Everytime I see a thread on a Clarke fitment issue, unfortunately I think of you Doug and how they gave you the shaft. Because of that they will not get any of my money either.

I always had a feeling that those "ears" weren't solid.

Many of these tanks fit like crap. My Clarke on my SX is fine but the 350X's both roll with IMS over sized tanks......

OK - the JB Water Weld worked on 3 of the four cavities. I ran out trying them all. The good thing is set up is in 25 minutes and full cure time is one hour, so I tried 3 different times tonight. Will get that last bugger tomorrow. I wil not reveal my color until Trikefest as it is a somewhat special build. More to come when I get it full fixed. BTW - the Water Weld is like cement. I had a heck of a time removing the failed patches. ou have to chisssel is out like morter between bricks!

Hey Tim I had a thread on here just before Jamestown indoor ice race 2 years ago. I ordered a brand new Clarke tank for my 350x and it had the same issues. If you remember I had to move my rear mounts forward as the front would not sit into the rubbers enough to keep it on. They have also seen the last of my money if I can help it. Hope it works out. Go JB WELD you!!!! Mint!!

UPDATE - the JB Water Weld has done the trick and it is all fixed. No more leaking. One of the 3 holes took 3 tries. I guess it's all about the prep work, or something. So no to build an alternate rear tank mount.

I have done absolutely astonishing things with OATEY putty,,on aluminum cases thru the years.. Having said that,,Man,,I just would really think with the vibration of an R,,there is NO way that is gonna hold up to riding/racing.. IF it does,,Great work!! And GREAT product!! Keep us up to date.
