Few Questions about Suzuki ALT 50 Trail Buddy

So I picked up an Orange trail buddy from my neighbor for $100, has all plastics and I know it runs as I've seen his Grandkid riding it around.

Unfortunately I can't get it to run well at all!

I'm looking for an owners manual or a few questions answered:


Does this trike take pre-mixed oil-gas?
If so, what mix %

There is an oil injection tank, but on the tank it says fuel + oil. Does this bike run 2 fuel tanks?

On the card there is a little lever for starting, does it go up or down to start. Seems to start on the down position but even when warmed up it will stall when changing the position.

Choke position is down to start a cold motor. Up to run a warm motor.


I unhooked the oil injection system on mine. I don't trust them. If you choose to use it, put the 2cycle oil in the plastic tank under the seat and straight gas in the metal one infront of it. If you opt to unhook it, run 40:1.

This one seems really rare being orange. My brother got it running really well and since all the plastics are there, I will be sanding them down and cleaning them up.

If anyone has parts, I could use a fuel tank!
