Dirt crasher The first link you posted is the exact jet kit I need for my 84 250r stock carb just want to make sure ?

I see that company also sells pilot jet kits just not sure what one I need if you have time can you post a link to the slow jet kit I need?

I'm still trying to figure out why my stock bike with no air leaks runs lean with stock jets at EL 100
And why the directions with the reeds said to jet down

how does it run if you pull the choke and run it around? Does it bog or sputter?

Because every machine is different and a reed manufacturer doesn't tune bikes, you do. Elevation is only one of the many factors that determine how a motor will run. Jet kits suck, buy a grip of jets and start tuning. Call motorcycle shops around your area and find one that has multiple jets for sale. It will save you time, money, and heartache in the long run.

From what I remember from a couple times I accidentally left the choke on it would sputters .

I have asked the bike shop in my little town they have to order the jets tomorrow I'll call shops around Houston.

So I may cause my self more headaches buying the ones dirt crasher posted?

I am sure the ones DC posted are fine. They are likely the generic versions of the Keihin mains. I always use OEM Keihin jets so I know they are correct and I can eliminate any jet orifice quality issues from a future diagnosis. If you are on a budget then go for it.

If you are certain it is sputtering then you shouldn't be too lean. Double check to ensure your choke is richening your whole carb. Pull the choke out and ride it around. If it's sputtering then you arent WAY to lean.

I got my oem jets in today from jets r us. Went from a 130 to a 132 no real change when I cut the plug I'll try the next one up when it stops raining. I don't understand why the plugs not showing richer when I changed the jet?

If I leave the choke on after I crank it up it smokes like crazy from between the pipe and head and also out the end of the silencer and bogs.

I am running the bike wot in 5th for a couple hundred feet hitting the kill switch pulling the clutch and letting of the gas all at the same time that's how you do it right?

Sounds like you need a new exhaust gasket and torque the pipe down to proper spec

Not much of a ring there to look at. Put a fresh plug in and ride it around for a bit (hour or so) through all the gears and all speeds. Don't cut the threads off and take a pic of the plug from the top looking down at the electrode and a couple from the sides.

What do you mean torque the pipe down? It has 2 springs on it I have the bolts that hold the pipe to the frame tight. I may need a gasket where do I buy one can't find it? I bought a tube of red rtv but couldn't bring my self to do it yet lol.

Don't use rtv, buy a new o-ring for the pipe

I assume you have a stock pipe?

If so, here is the part number: 18352-961-010

Call around to a couple dealers in your area and see if they have a Honda nationwide database to look up stock in other states.
