CHEAP Harbor Freight tire changer !!!!!!!!!

I was not shopping for one at all BUT at at 40 Bucks ($30 off !!), I just couldn't resist.

Sale says 50 but mine WAS 40 for sure. Well, 39.99

I figure 3.5 changes and the thing is paid off

In less then a week I have tires coming my way, so I'll leave you all know how it works, then again maybe one of you guys have one and can leave me know? I'll just be installing them though, no removal for now, although come to think of it, I have a few I can practice on.

For bead lock wheels they even have a speicial attachment, that's extra though.

If you are using this on aluminum wheels, make sure it's a machine that won't damage them. Some of the older type changers can skin up the wheel rims.

yea that thing works great BUT! it has to be bolted to the floor or a large metel plate that the wheel can be on as well, other wise its usless.

No biggie, I'll drill two holes in garage concrete floor and use lag and anchors and remove changer when I'm done.

So does your statement mean you have one or just used one at one time or another?

I know it's a bead breaker but the unit comes with one, and that one is shaped a bit different with bead locks in mind, that's what I meant by "special attachment" . It says " Designed for ATV tires mounted on bead lock type wheels."

It doesn't mean its for 'Bolt-on" bead locks like you may be thinking... The opional breaker is for wheels with a stepped bead such as those found on nearly all atv wheels... I doubt the super-wide breaker that comes with it will even be useful... maybe on a wheelbarrow tire... Bolt-on bead locks dont even need a breaker...

i have one of those. also have the atv bead breaker extra attachment. it didn't work that good for me. the one that came with works just fine.

i haven't bolted mine down, and have had it for over 6 years now! you just need 2 people. one holds the tire machine from moving!!

only problem i had is, 8 inch wheels don't fit to good.
Billet Triz 250 parts, Case Savers, Engine Mounts, Boost Bottles, Oil Caps, and Shifters, pm me for info

Shock Rebuilding, PM me for details TRI-Z Shocks rebuilt too

COOL and thanks for the reply !

You should bolt it down though with just two bolts, it only takes a minute or two to unbolt it then and put it out of the way.

I don't have anyone else to help me so it's a must that I bolt it into floor.

That's a heck of a deal though, don't think I would of bought it if it was 70.

Heck, if I feel real confident in changing them,I'll do it for some members on here, make a few bucks.

So the breaker doesn't scuff the wheel at all? All my wheels are OEM aluminum Honda jobbers. You ever do any of them?

I find that the bead breaker that jl atv sells and 3 tire irons work flawlessly, one man job too. If you don't have alot of space(like me), that thing is too big and just gets in the way. I find it very hard to believe you can change car tires on that. But whatever works for you.

I don't have enough space either and when I don't use it, will put it in basement.

Like said, at 40 bucks, it's a steal.

jl atv, who's that? Got a link?
